Find Services to Meet Your Child’s Needs.

Youth Therapy

  • Our child and adolescent therapy sessions provide a safe and supportive space where youth can explore their emotions and learn coping skills.

Therapists work closely with youth and caretakers to create a personalized plan for treatment that reflects each family’s unique needs and hopes. Caretakers are viewed as experts on their family and collaboration with them is a valued part of the treatment process. In developing a personalized plan, caretakers will have a clear understanding of what they can expect from the therapy process.

In therapy, your child will work one-on-one with a skilled therapist who will use techniques that are based on research and evidence.

Recognizing that not all children and adolescents communicate in the same way, therapists use a combination of talk therapy, sand tray, and play-based therapies to support youth.

  • A standard 45-minute session is $150. An income-based sliding scale option is available to ensure session prices are affordable for your family.

Youth & Caregiver Groups

  • Therapeutic groups are available for both youth, and caregivers of youth who are navigating mental health challenges.

Youth Groups: Based on interest and availability, children and adolescents are grouped with similar age peers (4-8 participants) to explore specific topics or experiences. Sessions are based on therapeutic practices and can be done separately or combined with individual therapy. Connection with peers in a therapeutic environment provides the opportunity to build self-confidence, self-esteem, and mutual aid. Groups run for 4-6 sessions.

Caregiver Groups: Participants are also grouped with other caregivers who have similarly aged children. The focus of groups is to build mutual aid and support among participants, while also providing evidence informed techniques to aid caregivers in the home. Groups run for 4-6 sessions.

  • A standard group session runs about 60 minutes (or 45 minutes for younger children) for 4-6 weeks. The cost of a group ranges $100-150. An income-based sliding scale option is available to ensure group prices are affordable for your family.

Caretaker Consultations

  • Caregivers who decide to refer their child for therapy often have uncertainties and questions. Perhaps you have not yet decided to refer your child for therapy or are wondering if your child could benefit from therapy.

Has your child’s pediatrician or school counselor recommended you pursue counseling, but you remain uncertain? Your child might be demonstrating behaviors or making statements that are concerning to you. Your family could be experiencing stressors or navigating changes that have been difficult for your child.

The decision to refer your child for therapy is not easy or straightforward. You want to feel confident in your decision to move forward before introducing the idea to your child.

Individual consultations are offered to caregivers looking to discuss their concerns with a mental health professional before deciding whether to pursue therapy for their child.

  • Free 15-minute consultations are offered to any parent or caregiver considering services for their child.

Comprehensive consultations up to 60 minutes in length are offered for $75.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We do not accept insurance. The standard rate is $150 for a 45-minute session. We do offer an income-based sliding scale that can lower the cost of a session for your family. When you call for a consultation, please indicate that you wish to discuss a reduction in your session fee. Please refer to the fee reduction schedule under policies.

  • It is not unexpected for children and adolescents to encounter challenges throughout their development. Changes in mind and body, as well as changes at home, school or in the community, can result in times of adjustment. During these times, children and adolescents may express greater intensity of emotion and have difficulty functioning in one or more settings.

It is important to know that the range of emotions including fear, anger, sadness and anxiety are part of a healthy emotional life. However, if you or others in your child’s life (e.g., teachers, pediatrician, etc.) have become concerned about your child’s behavior or functioning, it can be worthwhile to consider if your child would benefit from therapeutic services.

We offer a free 15-minute consultation to determine if your child is a good candidate for an evaluation for services. We only recommend treatment when our evaluation determines your child would benefit from the services that we offer.

We specialize in working with children and adolescents experiencing the following:

    • Trauma, Adjustment and Stress Disorders

    • Anxiety Disorders

    • Mood Disorders

    • Parent-Child Relationship Conflict

    • Self-Esteem and Confidence

  • We use a variety of treatment approaches including Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Progressive Counting, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We encourage parents and caregivers to discuss specific treatment approaches with their child’s therapist.

  • To initiate services, please send us a message through the website. Someone from our office will contact you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.

During the consultation, you will speak with a therapist who will discuss your child, their needs, and your interest in services.

If you and the therapist agree to move forward with services, you will be asked to complete registration materials. The information collected will assist your therapist with understanding important information about your child and family. The registration materials include a Consent to Treatment, which must be electronically signed by each parent/guardian.

If you move forward, you will also schedule a 30-minute phone interview with your therapist. The purpose of the interview is to collect additional information in preparation for your therapist to meet with your child. This assists the therapist with understanding your concerns and hopes for your child. The cost of the phone consultation is $50. At the conclusion of the interview, your therapist will work with you to schedule an appointment with your child.

The second appointment is a 45-minute in-person session with you and your child. The purpose of this appointment is for the therapist to focus on building a relationship with your child and getting to know needs from their perspective. The cost of the initial intake session is $150.

Following this session, your therapist will review your child’s file to ensure goodness of fit between the practice and your family. This is to ensure your child has a positive, supportive and generative therapeutic experience. It also provides you and your child time to evaluate your interest in pursuing services.

If you, your child, and your therapist agree to move forward, the next appointment will involve establishing goals and a plan for treatment. This appointment will also involve review of practice policies and procedures. All parents/guardians are required to provide consent for treatment.
